This is a listing of all my fiction, linked to AO3.
The Trinity Universe
The universe is about a poly relationship involving Daniel Jackson, Jason Coburn, and Jack O’Neill. The series begins after the events in season 5’s “Last Stand”, then it departs canon and enters AU (Alternate Universe, a term depicting a departure from canon).
Jason Coburn is an OC I created from a short stint by a two-episode character (Maternal Instinct, The First Ones) named Major Coburn, played by Steve Bacic. His story begins with Daniel in the first series of the Trinity Universe, Visits.
Visits is about the friendship between Daniel Jackson and Jason Coburn, which turns romantic in Visits 1.
Trinity is about the romantic poly relationship between Daniel, Jack, and Jason. There are occasional sexual relationships with others outside this central dynamic.
Trilogy is the continuation. I basically started over after 30 chapters of Trinity, marked in Roman numerals as XXX.
Intervals is the post-episodic dramas and sexual liaisons of Daniel and Jack, starting with Broca Divide and ending after the Series’ Finale, Unending. Most are rated NC-17 for graphic sex and language.
As the title suggests. These are extremely short stories that involve nothing but sex.
A two-part story about what happens after the events in season 4’s “The Light”.
A Little Quiet Time – A local brew helps break down barriers.
A Measure of Release – After the scare from Ba’al, Daniel gives himself over to Jack for the special stress relief they both need. A BDSM fic.
Ages and Ambushes – For Daniel, the SGC has lost its shine. When he contemplates resigning, he finds out that Jack isn’t quite ready to let him go.
Alone, He Learns – A melancholy look at the history of Daniel’s life.
Amor Silvarum – A little trauma is good for honesty.
Another View – Carlin’s actions leave Daniel with one hell of a mess to clean up. Or not. (An alternate view of what happened during and afterseason 4’s “Beneath the Surface”)
Bastards – After season 8’s episode “Zero Hour”, what happened to Camulus after he was sent through the gate to Ba’al?
Black – Jack’s trapped in a closet with the lights out.
Circumstances – An offworld ritual brings the boys together.
Cursed Be (pronounced Curs-Ed) – After an offworld attack, Daniel changes.
The Evil Side of Slave – After 8 months, it’s Daniel’s last day in hell.
Force of Habit – Daniel’s first Christmas since his de-Ascension.
Gestures – Season 9 time-frame. Jack’s surprise visit to the SGC gets him more than he, or Daniel, ever expected.
Halloween Coffee – Jack brings Daniel coffee.
I Walk Alone … No More – Daniel finds love in another universe. A Quantum Mirror story.
Intensity – On that Utopian moon, it wasn’t Harry who was trapped with Jack. It was Daniel. (an AU of season 6’s “Paradise Lost”, which assumes that Daniel never died/ascended)
It Ain’t That Bad – Sam feels guilty about her behavior as “Thera”. (a “Beneath the Surface” story)
It Was A Dark and Stormy Night – Al fresco sex for a J/D hot-a-thon.
Maybe I’m Amazed – A trip to Jack’s cabin brings enlightenment.
Mood – films affect you. Rare G-rated no-sex fic.
Pornograph – Sam has a dream that Janet takes advantage of. (F/F)
Remembering You – What does Daniel remember and why is it so important? (season 7’s post-Homecoming)
Sam I Am – Sam comes to a decision.
SG-1’s Alternate Episode Endings – I love SG-1. Love the main characters. Unfortunately, there’ve been times where I wanted to kill them. But it wasn’t their fault. There have been some horrible ideas and executions on the part of the Stargate SG-1 writers, directors, and producers (aka, TPTB). The only explanation is that they were possessed by Pod People. While there are episodes that I’d like to rewrite entirely, that’s too long a job for the moment. For now, here are the endings I think *should* have happened, if only to make up for the crap that went before. (Not all are Slashy) This “fic” sort of ties into SG-1 Alternate Episode Titles.
Unmasked – After a brief mutual attraction confession between Daniel and Jack, Daniel goes to Atlantis and has no intention of ever coming home. Jack makes a trip to Atlantis to change his mind.
Valentine – A valentine misunderstanding.
Would You – A sappy first-time love story.
That’s it so far.
One upon a time, about 1999, I went online to search for a stargate glyph font so I could use it in my wallpapers. I found one, but the glyphs barely resembled the gate/DHD glyphs. They were, quite frankly, a bloody mess of scrambled pixels. So I grabbed High-Logic’s Font Creator and went to work creating the font, using the shoddy font as a base file on where to place my own bitmaps. Later, I redid the font as a new one, trashing the old base. This is the font I came up with. It’s free to use for personal and commercial work. I would appreciate a credit and please don’t claim it as your own or sell it — the glyphs are copyrighted by MGM/Sony and if you try to make money off something that belongs to them, you’ll get your ass in legal trouble. (and frankly, the person who created the glyphs in the first place, via the original Stargate film, should get the credit, but the corporate shits who were in charge refused to do so)

NOTE: The glyph for the lowercase n is for Abydos.
I was going through my episodes on my external h/d, deciding on which ones to watch, when I became annoyed at the sight of some of them. So, I decided to do my own revisionist history on what the episodes would be like had I been in charge. A thoroughly egotistical exercise. 🙂 Here’s the link, but it’s also on the top menu.

He knelt on one knee and brushed the auburn brown locks from the man’s brow and studied his face. He’d glimpsed his mind, knew he was an archaeologist, a linguist, a peace-loving man, so what was he doing traveling with a military team? Exploration certainly, but that was not what they were doing here on his planet. They were searching for something. If the stunning beam, triggered due to the unexpected presence of the uninvited visitors, hadn’t done its job so quickly, Adriann would have known why they were here.
He sighed. Those conflicting desires were now forced to wait. On the other hand, he could kill this beautiful human and his companions and send them back through the portal as a warning. He could let them live and send them back. He could keep them, ensnaring them for entertainment. It’d been a while since he’d had a human from Earth.
The human stirred and Adriann froze, a frown marring his own handsome face. What to do. He placed the tip of his index finger on the center brow of the young man and closed his eyes in concentration. The young man was dreaming. The images were dark, troubling. That made sense. His mind was trying to figure out why he’d been stunned into unconsciousness.
Adriann detected worry for one of his companions and understood the meaning: the older man lying next to him was his mate. With a heavy sigh, he stood up, hating that his wisest course was to send them back through the portal. He hated complications — like interfering with another’s romantic relationship. With his abilities, he could simply take control and wipe the relationship from the young man’s mind, but coercion and mind control had never been his way.
“Too bad,” he whispered as he moved to the pedestal and pressed the glyphs. “You would have been a wonderful lay.”
A woman appeared at his side and he didn’t need to look to know his sister’s presence as she touched his mind. “You are sure? It has been a while, Adriann. We could use their blood.”
“I know. But …”
“I can’t just …”
“Yes you can. You’ve done it often enough to others who’ve found their way here.”
“This is different.”
“I could fall in love with him.”
She sighed and stooped to pick the young man up in her arms. “Stop dithering, Adriann. If you want him, I’ll take him up to the house. If you don’t, I’ll set him back down. Decide.”
The need filled his mind, coloring it with loneliness. “Go on then,” he said, and looked over his shoulder at the waiting servants. “Take the rest and make them comfortable. We shall decide later what to do with them.”
“Yes, my lord,” said one.
Adriann’s body warmed, from his belly to between his legs, and the long-absent refreshment doubled. His canines lengthened in anticipation.
Sadly, I've lost so much of my ability to properly write exposition and "filler". My last chapter, Trilogy 13, was 188 pages of detailed storyline. I may have gone a bit overboard, but I couldn't see where it may have been trimmed. Still, I was rather proud of it.
Comparing that against my current project, Trilogy 14, and my opinion about my writing losses is valid. I'm on page 38 (yay, something is done at any rate) and I am damn near *finished*. I don't see where the plot should be added to. I've lost my ability to create detailed exposition and filler. Now, I've gone back through the story, filled in exposition where I think it needed, and I'm pretty sure where I'll need to put it in next, but after that is done, I'll only have 40 pages. I've perhaps got another five to write, so let's end the story at 45. 45? Forty-fucking-five?
What in the hell happened? I just don't understand. Okay, I understand that if you stop writing for a while, say having writer's block due to stress, it will take a bit of the usual "writer's stress" to get back to form, but come on! 45 pages?
I'm seriously at a loss.

Prompt: Requirement (#1): Season 4 or later (including post-series); Requirement (#2): angst ; Optional Request: Jack running into Daniel's ex
Notes: Must apologize for the lack of real angst. The angst here is only Daniel's and his fear about running into the past. And truth be told, I actually forgot about the requirement and then it was too late to rewrite. (facepalm)

Should be interesting what assignment I get. :)
As writers, we know one of our basic tenets is research, research, research. But what if you're writing about a character who's taken up a subject we've never seen before and something you know nothing about either, and instead of taking up a lot of classes and learning something you have no intention of putting to practical use, and you don't really want to do that much research?
What are thoughts about such a provocative turn in your writing?
My pointed example: Daniel likes photography, and uses a camera a lot of the time in his work as an anthro/archaeo scientist. Knowledge/use of his camera is the "tool" of the story.
But the only thing I know about photography is basic point-and-shoot digital cameras. Buttons for zoom or panorama are easy things to use in cameras these days so there's no real learning involved when it comes to photography.
So the question is, could I get away with writing a story like this without actually using descriptors and exposition. As an artist, I think I could fake a little bit, but I know nothing about lenses and filters and the types of digital shooting. It's not like film shooting, and perhaps there's no need for filters and lenses (and if you know that already, you know more than I do) in digital photo work, but I still wonder: how much research would I really need to do in order to make the story interesting without being boring?
They stayed for 15 minutes and then had to leave. A. My back. B. I have a no-company apartment, meaning it's an efficiency apt with no places for people to sit. One person for company and they won't be all that comfortable. There's my bed/couch (it's not a sofa bed) and my computer chair. I also don't have anything to offer people to drink. No big coffee maker, just ice and water and four glasses.
I was invariably asked if I'm lonely, do I have a boyfriend, and am I looking for another place to live so I can have friends over.
No. No. And NO.
And when I said no, two of these women said, "But don't you want to get married?"
Aside from me being rather a loner anyway, this apartment is the first time in my 50+ years that I've been able to live alone. A-Lone. Just me and my kitty (who stayed under the sofa for the entire time the company was here). I don't want a roommate, I sure as shit don't want a boyfriend. I am enjoying my alone-time. I love having my BFF, and wish she could visit (waves at Chris) or that I could visit (she lives in the UK), but that's about as far as I go on the comfort scale.
What the hell is it with women who are brainwashed into this "must have a boyfriend/husband to feel comfortable and not alone" shit?
When I'm 70, ask me again if I'm lonely, but I think I need another 50 years living by myself before I'll be comfortable sharing my life again. FCOL.
