Computer Kitty
My yearly viewing ritual now. :)

I put an Ad in Craiglist and this fellow retired Vet had a computer he wasn't using. It's about 3 years old Dell, has Vista on it (ew) and so I ordered an h/d adapter to transfer my stuff to this hard drive.

Well ... after I get hold of a copy of Windows 7. Vista's complaints weren't undue, ya know? Anyway, I'd like to redo the entire set-up. The fella who gave me the compy will be by maybe this weekend or next week with the CDs (like Vista and other Dell shit).

But, I think I'd rather not wait to install 7. If anyone's got a copy to send me by mail, that'd be great, but I'll d/l a copy of it from the same dude who gave out photoshop and XP, Vista, other important software. Has been reliable for me so far. This time I have to make sure I have enough room on my 4gb flash/d

So happy news! The downside will be setting up, reinstalling, moving, naming, etc. Like setting up a whole new office. Oy. But a happy oy. Now if the new OS will stop distracting me with pretty but useless visual stuff and just let me do what the hell I wanna do... Win 7 better not be this bad. /snerk/

In a month, I hope I'll be writing and finishing. Yay!

WTF...

Here's where I'm placing my stories until my compy goes back online:

Not holding my tongue in anymore. Screw not using all the female terms I hate. She's a lying piece of shit, a two-faced slutbag cuntstick. Never mind all the illegal shit she's doing.

For anyone who hasn't been freakin' clued in, Wicca (aka Witchcraft) isn't Satanic, isn't devil-worshipping, doesn't use blood. The teenage bullshit she was spewing 9 years ago on Bill Maher was CRAP. She was LYING. Or if that shit happened, she wasn't with witches.

Witches don't use blood. It's black magic. We aren't about that. Nor are we Christian rejects. We don't believe in Lucifer/Satan/Devil. That's a Christian belief and we don't believe in the Judeo/Islamic/Christian bibles. Those who believe we do, get a goddamn grip, you ignorant fuckwads. The "Church" decided to demonize us a long time ago in order to make the Pagan population forcefully convert or die off. That's fact, and those who think otherwise are blind stooges and zombies. Wake the fuck up and smell nature's roses, people, not that made up crap you've been sold for over a thousand years.

Wicca is a nature religion, not anything else.  Our credo is An' it harm none, do what thou wilt.  That means exactly what it says.  Pay attention or go hide under your beds like good little zombies.

Has there ever been a vampire superhero, male or female?

ETA: I don't mean Blade. I'm thinking of a regular "superhero" who uses their vampire skills instead of "powers". ;)

ETA 2: Thanks, [personal profile] switch842. :)

Follow-Up: Have looked at manga's Hellsing, so this Alucard character qualifies as a "superhero". There was a woman named Looker, part of The Outsiders (with Batman), but after reading about her character, I found her to be the lamest "vampire" I've ever read about. Still, she qualifies as a "superhero". There's also Lord Andrew Bennett, or I ... Vampire, a DC character whose best pals at one time were Hawkman and Hawkwoman. He's one of those "I hate being a vampire" vampires and has the traditional vampiric "powers" and weaknesses. At one point, he turned villain, aiding bad guys intent on destroying the universe. Helluva turnaround.

Anyways, my thanks. :) My interest here is to see if there's been any kind of vampire superhero like the one I've been dreaming up for the last two years or so. Answer: nope. Awesome. Now I just have to do something about it. ;)

Have had some time to go through the story, rewriting a few paragraphs so the flow would be smoother. If you haven't had a chance to read it, all the better, but if you read it again, I hope the edit works. :)
Stargate SG-1
Msg to Pepi: Sorry, sweetie, but I may not have Internet Monday, or tomorrow for that matter, so I'm taking no chances and can't wait for your beta. ETA: Thanks, hun. Corrections made and re-uploaded. *hugs* :)

Ages and Ambushes
65 kb | 32 pages | 9,812 words
Rating and Genre: Mature | AU, 2010-ish
Pairing: Jack/Daniel, FT
Summary: For Daniel, the SGC has lost its shine. When he contemplates resigning, he finds out that Jack isn't quite ready to let him go.
Story Notes: 1. The AU nature of this story assumes that Jack remained head of the SGC after season 8. 2. Assume that Daniel's rapidly-thinking mind takes far less time to get used to an idea than the time it takes for other people. ;)
Author Note: This story doesn't have its usual multi-beta proofread(betaed -- However, please forgive any remaining errors I may have overlooked).

Last one for a while. While I'm not producing stories every few weeks or months anymore, it's a very different thing between choosing to do that and not having any choice. Now watch, I'll suddenly get writing inspiration. Better go buy me a notebook just in case.

Two years ago, I wrote this short SG-1/SGA porn thing. I only released it on my LJ and never put it on my website. Oops.

So. That's rectified. And in case anyone's in the mood for something like this (I doubt it, since I'd only received two bits of feedback), here ya go.

Belated birthday, that is. Hope you had a swell day, hun. :)

Of John Sheppard and Ronon. Can anyone point me in that direction please? :)

Now, before anyone asks, I'm looking for some John and Ronon pics because ...

1. I'm making a header for an old SG-1/SGA cross story I posted on LJ, but I forgot to post it on my site. (::waves at starglyph::)

2. Back when my compy crashed and I had to do a bunch of transfering of files, I didn't transfer my SGA pics. ::desk:: Bad Joy. No Biscuit.

Why's this supposed turnabout mood following such a dire entry on my LJ? )
Daniel - Frustration (abyss)
Switched journal style to "basic boxes" because the other theme (Skittlish something) had my icons blocking usernames. Annoying.

Anyway. The new one won't get rid of the "Recent Entries" text in the header. Any guidance? That crap is annoying and I've searched all through the settings and customization for a way to get rid of it, as well as trying to get rid of the entire thing and put in a header image. *sighs*

Unless someone can point me in the direction of a way to use the custom CSS to get rid of that shit and use a header...

Wordle: My SG-1 Fiction

I think I found a new graphic base (even by itself, it looks cool) for a header, never mind that I'll incorporate this somehow into a new fiction (Trinity, et al) header. :)

The text I used is from Trilogy 11. Part B. ;)
Earth eye, OT3
It's taking a while (cause it'll be long, as usual) so here's an excerpt.

Trilogy 11 is about Jack, Daniel, and Jason being stranded on an alien world. Stuck for a bit over three months, they have plenty of privacy and plenty of time to work out a few kinks.

Here's what happened when I couldn't decide what font to use. ;)

Tweaking my DW theme here. Made a header, put in the link in customization and ... it kept getting hidden by a header box, which is aggravating because it was supposed to *sit inside* the header box. *eye roll* So now there's no header at all.

I can't wait till DW gets the theme codes stabilized.
