I couldn't help myself...

SG-1_3-man_offthegridredux

My AU "Off The Grid"

Post-Season 8, my AU version of SG-1 without Jack.  I liked Mitchell, don't get me wrong.  But I objected to TPTB fucktards letting Mitchell keep command of SG-1 after Sam rejoined SG-1.  She had seniority and she'd bloody well earned that job.

Plus I hated that Jack left.  So in my mind, this is season 8+.  Of course, in a better world, Jack would still be leader and Hammond would still be the commander of Stargate Command.  Plus there'd be no Vala, a bonus.  Even better, there'd be no Ori and the Goa'uld (with a cameo by the NID) would still be the big villain.

Oh I LOVE this!!...This is my S.8+ too....and most definitely Jack is around!!...he is there as long as Daniel wants to continue his work....

And it was so nice to hear Michael say that his preferred answer to the question of what SG1 was doing after the series ended "was they were just going through the Gate, like they always did, with NO romantic entanglements"...*snerk*...leave it to fanfic and us to enjoy our happy endings and leave the actors out of it is always my motto...

This will be going up on my screen when I get to grips with all my new stuff on Windows 8 on the comp....I can't find any bloody thing atm!!!..

Love you for doing this

I agree with both of you. Sam had several years experience, whereas Mitchell didn't. Yes he was a fully trained pilot, but she had the know-how to deal with all the villains offworld.

As for going through the gate with no romantic entanglements, that's fine with me. Of course, what they do when they get home is a different matter altogether, isn't it? *g*
