The plot bunnies haven't dried up completely. Here's a little thing I cooked up after wondering this:

"What if there'd been a sarcophagus at the SGC after Daniel was exposed to radiation in Season 5's "Meridian"? He doesn't die. And what if the realization of having almost died, and horribly, brings Jack to his senses and he stops being an ass?"

This resulted in a slightly angsty little First Time fic, rated Mature for explicit sexual content.
