I hear you hon....I go out of my way to keep my slash side private from Michael Shanks when I meet him at Cons.....well, I go to meet Michael Shanks, not some fantasy Daniel - same with photo ops...I don't want to dress up and pretend to be someone when the actor is there in his "civvies" being himself....
I cringe when fans ask him on Twitter if he reads fanfics and then double cringe when they link to something that they might think is fabulous but he might think is downright creepy.....even scarier are the OC Mary Sue fics where you can recognise the author from the first words out of the OC's mouth and you just know in their heart of hearts they want him to see it and remember them from it...*shudders*....
Chris Judge commented at this year's ChiCon that he read fanfic....however I take a lot of what CJ says at cons with a pinch of salt....many actors "embellish" small details to make their interactions with the fans seem more personal, so I'm sure he's glanced at it and knowing his sense of humour probably ripped the piss out of it to shred with his friends over a drink or two....
My fanfic is MY business, no one elses and especially not the actor....sure I get love and inspiration from some amazing characters (especially Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson) but I enjoy meeting Michael Shanks and Richard Dean Anderson for the REAL people that they are....;)
