Oh god yea...."Menace"..probably the most hurtful episode ever...still can't watch it all the way through....and knowing that Michael must have known by then he was moving on....his whole demeanour throughout the episode was one of hopelessness imho....

I've been told that the episode was filming during the week of 9/11, and that would explain the strange anger permeating the entire episode.
