(I'm a little late, sorry)
I'm thinking of the last phrase of Tennyson's poem, Ulysses:
though We are not now
that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven,
that which we are, we are
One equal temper of heroic hearts,

but strong in will
To strive,

I think my icon is a tribute...it's where my mother in law lived in Belgium, and was born ....her stepfather fought in the WWI and suffered greatly from it's effects for the rest of his life, she was occupied in WWII and met her beloved English husband because he was stationed there in '44 after the DD Landings....
The Great War and WWII will not be forgotten by me or my family....
