Each to their own hon....I never understand why people cannot live and let live with others' lifestyle preferences.....the looks I get when I tell them that I chose to stay at home and look after my son & hubby rather than continue to pursue my career ranges from complete pity to scathing scorn.....I'm considered a brain-dead moron for my choice by many.....I'm rather proud of what I've done especially as most people wouldn't have lasted 1 month looking after a disabled spouse with an attitude problem *winks*..that's not to say that I am perfectly capable of living on my own and looking after myself too...
We make our choices for ourselves sometimes out of necessity but never denigrate those who make them out of their own volition I say.....
So glad that you and Chris have such a great friendship.....I <3 fandom for what it does for us sometimes
