I use my journal as a diary and although I lock some of my posts to comments I do it mainly because I just want a rant to myself....but I know 10000% my true friends understand and love me and support me anyways...no words are needed....but I have made a filter for "fandom rants" which is open to a few close friends...some of those will remain unlocked for a good old bitch and moan if we want it!!...*snerk*..
As for those fic writers....well I don't write but I know that if you put yourself out in the public domain you have to learn to take criticism, harsh or otherwise....my daughter-in-law-to-be is a model and boy! does she have to take some harsh words in one of the worst industries for putting people down and destroying their confidence....but that's life....deal with it...I've read some dreadful shit but sadly some fic writers are bolstered up by sycophants who think that they will get something "more" from supporting someone....and when a true critique is made, they descend on one like a bunch of enraged harpies.....
Yeah, fuck 'em I say....if you got something to say, say it...:P
