(This is not a rant, just an observation) :)
Over the past couple of months, I've been made aware of two opposing thoughts from other people about me:
1. I've changed. I'm not as "in your face" as I used to be. I don't use the eff word unless it's absolutely warranted. I'm still outspoken, still opinionated, still write what I think. But my mood has been softened by an anti-depressant that I started back in 2009 when I moved to the east coast and received Medicaid. Some have told me they've noticed a difference for the better. That's ... nice to know. ::makes funny face:: Not sure if I should be flattered or offended. :-p
2. No one's bothered to notice the change and still tell others to avoid me. *sighs* How in the world am I supposed to get back into fandom with that kind of attitude? I dunno. Lies are told, too, though I doubt they're on purpose. I've flamed people, but from my own seat and not gone on other people's journals to do it. OTOH, there are some who can't tell the difference between a flame and an opinion. Ah well.
Anyways, I thought I'd mention this in case any one out there was worried about talking to me or being seen talking to me. Yeah, all kinds of peoples are out there. ;)
So I'll end with this, and with a pleasant smile: I am only responsible for what I say, not for what others understand. :)

Date: 2013-08-03 09:21 am (UTC)From:I use my journal as a diary and although I lock some of my posts to comments I do it mainly because I just want a rant to myself....but I know 10000% my true friends understand and love me and support me anyways...no words are needed....but I have made a filter for "fandom rants" which is open to a few close friends...some of those will remain unlocked for a good old bitch and moan if we want it!!...*snerk*..
As for those fic writers....well I don't write but I know that if you put yourself out in the public domain you have to learn to take criticism, harsh or otherwise....my daughter-in-law-to-be is a model and boy! does she have to take some harsh words in one of the worst industries for putting people down and destroying their confidence....but that's life....deal with it...I've read some dreadful shit but sadly some fic writers are bolstered up by sycophants who think that they will get something "more" from supporting someone....and when a true critique is made, they descend on one like a bunch of enraged harpies.....
Yeah, fuck 'em I say....if you got something to say, say it...:P
