riverfox: Kiss (Werewolf)
You know how you periodically think of that TV show or movie that you loved but never see advertised on DVD? You know the one. It turned out to be so obscure that it ended up as a "cult" TV show or movie.

One of mine is Robin of Sherwood, produced on Showtime as Robin Hood, back in 1984-1986. I find that DVD available for ridiculous prices, yet it's still on my Amazon wish list. ;)

The second one is a TV show from 1987-88 called Werewolf. It lasted 29 episodes, on the FOX network--the network with the notorious rep of cancelling shows during first seasons.

It came out on DVD a few years ago, and I found it on a website I've never heard of. I don't know if I should buy anything from them. Amazon is "out of stock".

Anyhow, my point? Don't you just hate it when an obscure-but-loved DVD or movie (or book/music) shows up precisely when you can't afford to buy it?

Robin of Sherwood is one of my all-time favourites (at least, the Michael Praed years).

One line in particular has passed into family usage in our house when something is over. Bet you know the line! Awesome show.

I think Robin of Sherwood was one of the first programmes that actually brought fame and fortune to a "Pop Group" for it's haunting theme tune...Clannad wasn't it?...beautiful evocative theme tune...

And MP was so very very beautiful....<3
