TV Round-Up (long overdue)

Almost Human -- Pretty damn good so far. It helps that Karl's starring in it, of course. For some reason, overlaying tech images in Dorian's eyes helps me *not* be surprised at how light his eyes are. ;) It's a racial thing, I know it is, but not rac*ist*. It's like that one actress, Meg Foster, whose blue eyes were so light it was kinda-cool-creepy. Except here, Dorian's eyes are purdy. ;)

MARVEL's Agents of SHIELD -- Yay for Joss Whedon's second successful television program that's NOT on FOX. Firefly was successful after the fact, which sucks more loudly than a ::insert your euphemism here::. Coulson seems to be getting hotter the more I see him, and the writing on this show is fantastic. It's complex and layered (probably those are the same thing) and there is so much going on that I actually forget what bad guys went before the latest three episodes (or so). I forgot about Peterson until he showed up in Monday's mid-season cliffhanger (goddammit, writers).

Supernatural -- I'm loving this season, but Goddammit! Stop separating the boys! Jesus H! I did a regular world read-up on Gadriel, which was annoying, but from my non-Christian "would you people stop talking about this shit as if it's historical fact" beliefs. For Supernatural, however, it's a pretty awesome, if aggravating, twist. But FCOL, can we *not* have Sam locked up in his head again for the remainder of the season!!!!!!

Criminal Minds -- Finally, we get a view of Blake's history. :) About time, writers. Only took you ten episodes. I'm liking her a lot, but I still miss Prentiss and wish she'd come back. The only thing I'm not crazy about is Reid's hair. He's unique and wonderful and all that, but c'mon, he's back to looking 16 again.

Dracula -- I'm liking this show. Unfortunately, I keep inserting my own vampire creations, which catapults me out of the episode. My Slash side also wants ol' Alexander to be gay. I can't help myself. ;)

Doctor Who -- Yes, Eleven is young. He's been that way for two years. I'm liking him young. I want him to stay! I don't want him replaced, however nice the casting, with an Old guy again. Sure, not as old as One and Two, but still. I'm in a rather quiet tantrum, which is good, I guess. I wasn't so quiet when Donna Noble came along. I didn't like her at first, but she grew on me, and now I wish she'd come back. Skitzy, that's me.


So, everyone's on hiatus until January. *sighs* Guess that means it's time for marathons of one type or another. Perhaps it's time to dust off Babylon 5.

Ohhh. One last thing. China Beach is now on DVD! Yay! I really miss seeing that show. :)
