So that means that if you stick as close to canon as possible in your story, the use of a tent would automatically make it AU. OTOH, technically, everything we write is AU. Slash, Ship, or Gen, it makes no difference. ;)
ETA: Thanks Ivorygates. :) They did have tents in one episode, First Commandment.
